Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) and West London NHS Trust (WLT) have come together to establish the North West London Perinatal Mental Health Provider Collaborative, which officially went live on 1 April 2024.
The Provider Collaborative is responsible for overseeing the delivery of Specialist Inpatient Perinatal Mental Health Services across Northwest London (NWL), currently provided by Coombe Wood Mother and Baby Unit. In addition to its oversight role, the Collaborative works closely with Perinatal Mental Health Community Services, as well as with patients, their families, and partner organisations across health and social care. Together, this partnership aims to deliver high-quality, consistent, and person-centred perinatal mental health care across the NWL system.
The Collaborative represents a significant opportunity to strengthen and enhance services through shared learning, coordinated planning, and greater collaboration. The ultimate goal is to ensure that every person in NWL receives equitable, effective, and compassionate perinatal mental health care.
